Thought for Today - Life

Life
Ignorance makes you believe that life functions haphazardly. Wisdom teaches you that everything that happens in this theatre of life has profound significance. What you see today is not the fruit of chance but a fruit from seeds planted in the past. Plant seeds of peace now and you will create a life of peace in the future.

Thought for the Day: Resistance

Have you ever noticed that resistance leads to persistence. And behind all resistance is self-created fear. The only way to relax and stay relaxed is acceptance. You don't have to agree, or follow, or condone, but acceptance means you begin any interaction with a serenity which invites others to engage with you. And out of engagement comes the satisfaction of creative expression and an enriching relationship. That's relaxation in action!

No more Bangalore

Today can be notably said that , it is the last day that we can officially call Bangalore, Bangalore.
Hmmm, not very happy about it though... but then on second thoughts, whats in a name anyway??

Not that, some thing will change .. once it gets a new name.. Life is going to be the same.. nothing better for sure... Maybe some folks who are going to get the business due to renaming , will get a bit richer.. cant think anything more than that.. yes may be the people instrumental in changing the name , might find their names in the history books..

Just another city joining the club ....

Thought for the Day

Anger finishes all wisdom
Ego finishes regard
Worry eats away your life
Bribery finishes all justice
Greed finishes all honesty
Fear eats away a human being

The greatest jewellery in the world is your own nobility
Your own best companion in the world is your determined thought
Those who do not wish for anything receive everything
Renounce that happiness in which there is sorrow for others

4th October

Its a bandh today here in Bangalore. Which means that I need to spend my time at home. Which is indeed good in a way. Its not everyday that ur forced to sit and home.

This day is quite special to me in more than one way. It was on this day, 11 years back, that I joined MIT. Rather 11 years away from home now. 11 years of friendship with some people, and still the relation remains the same. I still remember the first day I met KPK[Pramod Kamath] and till today we share the same friendship. He was my roomy for say 4 years.

My first class was the Engineering Drawing and the whole class looked so alien to me. The only person whom I felt comfortable was Vijey. And till date, we share a great friendship.

Again 3 years back, I moved into this apartment, which also happened to be vijay dashami. Its been a long way ever since.
Life hasnt changed much though, mostly its been change of 4 companies rather than anything else.

"Today is the first day of the remaining part of my life", this dialog from American Beauty is still my favourite and still believe that, every day in my life will be something new .

My New Birthdate

3rd October, 2006
I got am sms from Airtel, wishing me for my birthday. I was clueless. Just ignored that it must have been a mistake, and forgot about it. Its not the first time that I have messges meant for others.
Later on, when I read the sms again, I was wondering as to why they sent it to me.
I just happened to see the time stamp of the message.
It read 03/10/2006. The number looked familiar to me.. yes. My birthday is on 10th march.
ie 10/03 and today was 03/10 :-)
Just an interchange between the date and month. Guess these ppl started to follow the american way.
Nevertheless, i found another day where people can wish me.. but no, I am not planning to treat others on this occasion.
